The Environmental Specialist supports the organization by ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations across hazardous waste management, air quality emissions, and spill prevention programs. This role conducts field inspections, analyzes environmental data, prepares technical reports, manages compliance documentation, and leads employee training initiatives. The position requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise in environmental science, and the ability to collaborate across operational teams to ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance, environmental science, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements and their interpretation.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to address issues quickly and professionally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong analytical and data‑interpretation abilities.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with hazardous waste management processes, emissions calculations, and spill response standards is preferred.
