Summary:

DHL eCommerce operates an international distribution network to deliver mail and parcels from businesses in the United States to e-Commerce consumers across the globe. The Sr. International Transportation Analyst will work together with International Lane Manager and the Network Team in managing transportation operations, assessing air freight cost, negotiating with airfreight vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Network Operations

• Analyze and optimize routing to over 200 countries by balancing cost and service performance.

• Implement measures to decrease cost and improve transit times and tracking while maintaining excellent customer service.

• Coordinate with terminal and airlines operations to optimize process flows and implement new routings.

• Support Lane Managers by developing data analyses and creating Power BI reports to drive decision-making and performance visibility.

• Contribute to cost transparency projects as assigned, helping to uncover opportunities for savings and operational efficiency through data-driven insights.

International Transportation

• Work closely with distribution center staff and airfreight vendors to assure cost-effective, high-performance and fully compliant air transportation.

• Create and maintain KPIs to monitor vendor’s performance.

• Support ongoing negotiations for air cargo contracts, and annual airfreight RFP.

• Conduct scheduled reviews with terminal management to monitor volumes, delays, backlogs, and coordinate air transportation to mitigate any potential service impacts.

• Provide pro-active and immediate communication for service disruptions.

• Ensure air transportation paperwork is compliant with all cross-functional department SOP’s and requirements.

Requirements/Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI — must be highly skilled in data modeling, dashboard creation, and automation techniques.

• Passionate about working with data and visualization tools, with a strong desire to learn, teach, and continuously explore new ways to apply Excel and Power BI in solving business challenges.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.

• Enjoys working with numbers and translating data into actionable insights.

• Self-starter with excellent time management and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Comfortable collaborating with international and cross-functional teams.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts clearly.

• Excellent organizational and presentation abilities, especially in showcasing data-driven stories.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, industrial engineering, or related field.

• 4-5 years related work experience, preferably in international, cross-functional projects.

Physical Demands:

• Physical demands are mostly consistent with a professional office setting.

• Regular sitting at workstation for 25 – 75% of the work shift

• Frequent standing and walking
