We’re looking for a Functional Controller who will strengthen financial visibility, partner across the business, and support strategic, data‑driven decision making for our operational teams.
Job Overview
In this role, you will analyze and report on operational and financial performance for assigned functions, build and enhance reporting structures, and guide leaders in improving efficiency and results. You’ll also support financial planning cycles, lead cost optimization initiatives, and help strengthen internal controls and data integrity.
This is a highly collaborative role with significant exposure across Finance, Operations, and Senior Leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Report, analyze, and explain operational and financial data (volume, revenue, cost, expenses, investments).
- Build and enhance methodologies and management reporting to improve transparency and accuracy.
- Act as a business partner to functional leaders, enabling informed, data‑driven decisions and supporting target-setting.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning for assigned functions.
- Develop cost‑control measures and monitor optimization initiatives.
- Review major spend requests as a financial gatekeeper in line with approval matrices.
- Conduct business case analyses and provide recommendations to Finance leadership.
- Partner with internal teams, including IT, to reinforce data integrity, process improvements, and automation.
- Support internal controls, SOP development, and audit activities.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing financial & operational data and building reporting structures from scratch.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of data‑driven decision making.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities, including experience engaging senior leaders.
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and project‑management skills.
Nice to Have: Master’s degree, SAP, PowerBI, SQL/Python experience, and prior logistics experience.
Location & Work Environment
- Role requires regular in‑office presence in Weston, FL.
- <10% travel.
- Physical demands align with standard office environments.
