D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Closing Document Review Specialist. The right candidate will be responsible for auditing all mortgage loans assigned in a timely manner. Review all completed and signed closing documents for accuracy and execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Audit closing package to confirm all closing documents are present signed and dated properly
- Follow up with applicable parties on any incorrect or missing documents
- Communicate with branch and other departments on status of follow up
- Cure all investor and insuring suspense items and communicate with post-closing/insuring departments on status
- Assign final closing documents to respective container in document imaging system
- Maintain acceptable timelines and Quality Control (QC) score for post-closing activities
- Maintain outstanding condition pipeline and keep comments current regarding follow up documentation
- Clear all post-closing conditions as applicable
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Ability to work overtime
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Associate degree a plus
- Familiarity with governmental requirements for mortgage loan processes a plus
