THE VITAL ROLE YOU'LL HAVE
As an Accountant - Finance Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the financial heartbeat of our projects. From preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss reports to maintaining the general ledger and coding invoices, you'll ensure our financial records are precise and up-to-date. You'll also reconcile bank accounts and customer accounts, oversee accounts receivable collections, and verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable. Plus, you'll liaise with outside auditors during annual audits and ensure compliance with tax filings at federal, state, and local levels. In addition to this, you'll help maintain and improve our accounting software systems, recommending updates that will enhance our efficiency and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Highly proficient with accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Great written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction accounting
- Experience with construction software like BuilderTrend
