We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining payroll records. The Payroll Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.
Duties
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
- Utilize payroll software such as UltiPro, Ceridian, or ADP to manage payroll data efficiently.
- Perform data entry tasks, including entering employee hours, deductions, and other relevant payroll information.
- Conduct double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records.
- Analyze payroll reports to identify discrepancies or issues that need resolution.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) related to payroll functions.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless communication regarding employee status changes that affect payroll.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while adhering to data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role within finance or accounting.
- Proficiency in payroll software (UltiPro, Ceridian, ADP) is highly desirable.
- Strong 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry tasks.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of financial concepts and principles related to payroll processing.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data effectively and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.
