Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Mechanical Construction Assistant to support project paperwork and site management. The ideal candidate has basic mechanical knowledge, is flexible with working hours, and can support both administrative and on-site tasks.
- Manage project paperwork and site documentation
- Review specifications and shop drawings
- Coordinate engineering issues with external engineering teams to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements
- Monitor construction progress and report updates, including progress measurement
- Manage schedule and progress for assigned scope, including fabrication and installation
- Communicate project status to Project Management, clients, and other stakeholders as needed
- Mentor and assist contractors in welding work
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred
- 2 years of experience in Mechanical or High Purity Piping Construction preferred
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs preferred
- Experience in Chemical Piping is a plus but not required
- Proficient in BIM, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
