Interface Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Building Inspection Consultant with extensive expertise in building inspection for industrial and semiconductor facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interpreting building codes and collaborating with city inspectors and construction teams to ensure inspections are completed efficiently and successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert consultation on building inspection procedures, standards, and compliance.
• Interpret building codes, specifications, and regulations to ensure adherence.
• Collaborate with city inspectors, contractors, and stakeholders to address inspection requirements.
• Identify potential issues and propose solutions to streamline the inspection process.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all parties involved in inspections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in building inspection and construction for industrial and semiconductor facilities.
• ICC Building Inspection Certification (B-2) or equivalent relevant degree.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply building codes effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience working directly with city inspectors and construction teams.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify compliance issues accurately.
• Strong understanding of Life Safety Systems (LSS) and passive fire protection.
• Knowledge of occupancy classifications, specifically H-5.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications or licenses in building inspection or code interpretation.
• Prior experience in a construction management consulting role.
• Experience as a city building inspector in Austin or the Austin metro area.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
