Job Overview
Dhanota Occupational Therapy is looking for a dedicated COTA/L to join our early intervention team on a per diem or part time basis. The role of the COTA would include providing OT sessions to families within their natural setting such as home environment or day care. You would support outcomes outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist; and provide parent coaching.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Support the child's self help, fine motor, and sensory development.
- Monitor progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions.
- Collaborate with the families and provide parent coaching to address their needs.
Qualifications
- Current and active California COTA/L license.
- Early intervention or pediatric occupational therapy experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective parent/caregiver interaction.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid California drivers license and a reliable transportation within a 30 mile radius .
- Must pass fingerprinting and background check.
- Mandated reporter certificate
