System Administrator

About the Role

Dhaka Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced and highly skilled System Administrator Master on behalf of a client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure environments, including Windows Servers, network systems, virtualization platforms, cloud services, and backup solutions. This role requires a seasoned IT professional with extensive hands-on experience in enterprise system administration, infrastructure support, and security operations.

Key Responsibilities
Systems Administration

· Install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise server infrastructure and related systems.

· Manage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

· Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, domain services, and user account management.

· Configure and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.

· Monitor server performance, system availability, and infrastructure capacity.

Network Administration

· Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless networks.

· Implement and maintain network security policies, VLANs, routing, and segmentation.

· Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity or bandwidth issues.

Infrastructure Operations & Support

· Perform daily system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, systems, and applications.

· Review system and application logs and ensure successful completion of scheduled jobs and backups.

· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure failures.

· Provide Tier III technical support for escalated issues.

· Maintain operational documentation, configurations, and procedures.

Backup, Recovery & Security

· Perform daily backup operations and support disaster recovery planning and testing.

· Conduct security monitoring to identify and mitigate potential threats or intrusions.

· Apply operating system patches, upgrades, and security updates regularly.

· Support compliance initiatives, audits, and organizational security standards.

Cloud & Modern Infrastructure

· Support hybrid cloud environments including Azure and Microsoft 365.

· Manage cloud identity, access control, and security configurations.

· Assist with infrastructure modernization, migration, and automation initiatives.

Performance & Optimization

· Perform ongoing system performance tuning, resource optimization, and capacity planning.

· Configure CPU, memory, disk partitions, and storage resources as required.

· Support enterprise storage systems including SAN/NAS environments.

· Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.

RequirementsRequired Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 16 years of experience installing and configuring enterprise system hardware and software.

· 16 years of experience performing backups and recovery operations.

· 16 years of experience troubleshooting server and infrastructure hardware issues.

· Strong experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory & Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, and firewall technologies.

· 10 years of experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms, backup and disaster recovery solutions, infrastructure monitoring tools, and network/infrastructure security monitoring.

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, or hybrid cloud environments.

· Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.

· Experience with enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS).

· Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance standards, and audit processes.

· Relevant certifications are highly preferred: MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , VMware VCP, Azure Administrator (AZ-104).
