Mobile Automotive Technician
DH Mobile Mechanics – Louisville, KY
DH Mobile Mechanics is growing and looking for an experienced, dependable automotive technician to handle mobile repair jobs throughout the Louisville area.
This is an independent contractor opportunity for a mechanic who wants the ability to earn strong money without being stuck inside a shop all day.
DH Mobile Mechanics provides the customers, scheduling, estimates, invoicing and parts coordination. You focus on completing quality repairs and taking care of the customer.
Compensation
40% of collected labor revenue on jobs you complete.
Typical earning potential:
$750–$1,500 per week, depending on the number and type of jobs accepted and completed.
There is no guaranteed minimum number of jobs or hours.
Example payouts:
$500 labor = $200 payout
$800 labor = $320 payout
$1,000 labor = $400 payout
As DH Mobile Mechanics continues expanding its regular customer and fleet accounts, additional work may become available to reliable contractors.
Common Repairs
Jobs may include:
- Brakes and rotors
- Wheel bearings
- Alternators and starters
- Batteries
- Suspension repairs
- Cooling system repairs
- Water pumps
- Belts and tensioners
- Spark plugs and ignition repairs
- Valve cover gaskets
- Sensors
- Electrical diagnostics
- No-start diagnostics
- Preventive maintenance
- General automotive repair
What We’re Looking For
Reliability and honesty are extremely important.
You should be comfortable working independently and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles without constant supervision.
You must:
- Have proven automotive repair experience
- Have reliable transportation
- Own your own mechanic tools
- Own a reliable jack and jack stands
- Own a torque wrench
- Have access to a scan tool
- Have a multimeter
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Maintain current automobile insurance
- Have a smartphone
- Communicate professionally
- Be willing to travel to customer locations around the Louisville area
- Provide photos and repair documentation when requested
- Immediately communicate any problems or additional repairs discovered
ASE certification is welcomed but not required.
How the Work Operates
Jobs are offered individually.
You may accept or decline jobs based on your availability.
You use your own tools and transportation.
You may perform work for other companies and customers.
Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes and business expenses.
