Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the daily management and progression of civil infrastructure projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily project progress, including labor, equipment, and material tracking.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, estimates, and cost tracking for contract pay applications.
- Monitor and help coordinate subcontractor activities and material deliveries to ensure timely project completion.
- Participate in quality control inspections for site grading and pipe installation.
- Help maintain updated as-built drawings and track submittals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with scheduling, expediting, and coordination of trucking and other subcontractors.
- Conduct and document weekly safety meetings and daily toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment.
- Operate heavy equipment and perform manual labor as needed, provided proper training has been received.
- Communicate project status, production, and any issues to the Project Manager on a regular basis.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with blueprints and contract documents.
- Safely navigate and work within active construction sites, including uneven or challenging terrain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of site work and grading experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role; or equivalent experience as approved by management.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Trimble GPS Systems, HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, Primavera, and Timberline is a plus; willingness to learn these systems within six months of hire is expected.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capable of safely entering deep excavations and confined spaces as required by specific projects.
- Eligible and able to operate a company vehicle for project-related travel.
