A Day in the Life of a Procurement Inventory Specialist at DH Casters:
- Daily communication with international and domestic suppliers, and freight brokers for updates.
- Review inventory and sales activity daily to optimize stock levels for both short-term and long-term needs.
- Frequently strategize how to increase inventory turns.
- Upload product data and track movement through multiple sales channels to move overstocked items.
- Utilize “Sage Inventory Advisor” (SIA) tool daily to understand sales trends, product demand, and excess inventory.
- Track component and complete unit inventory movement to determine whether complete casters need to be purchased or components only to build casters onsite.
- Plan on site inventory builds alongside Warehouse Supervisor.
- Collaborate daily with Sales Team and Customer Support to recognize and act on customer demands.
- Coordinate with overseas and domestic vendors for sourcing, price negotiation, and delivery to keep costs down.
- Work under an experienced manager who was in your role previously and will guide and direct you in a supportive way to achieve our goals.

What You'll Bring to the Table: 8-10 years of international and domestic procurement and inventory/supply chain management experience. A deep understanding of the purchasing process, including negotiation, cost savings and sourcing. A profound self-awareness and a comprehensive understanding of your strengths, capabilities, and areas you want to grow in. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, with an innate ability to review technical specifications accurately. Consistently stellar communication skills, both verbal and written, that foster a collaborative spirit with colleagues and suppliers. Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting quantitative and qualitative data Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Netstock/SAGE software is a plus.
