Job Title: UX Writer
Location: Mountain View, CA
Contract Type: Contract (4 days onsite a week)
About the Role:
We are seeking a UX Writer to join our product design team in Mountain View, CA. As part of a collaborative UX organization, you will craft clear, concise, and user-centered copy that guides, informs, and delights users across our digital products. You’ll work closely with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to ensure every word enhances usability and supports our brand voice.
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit UX copy for web, mobile, and connected experiences (including buttons, labels, menus, onboarding flows, and error messages).
- Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, and product teams to create intuitive, accessible, and consistent user experiences.
- Develop content strategies that align with product goals and brand tone.
- Participate in user testing to validate copy clarity and tone.
- Maintain and contribute to style guides, terminology libraries, and content systems.
- Advocate for users by ensuring copy communicates with empathy, clarity, and simplicity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, or related writing role within digital product design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX writing samples for digital interfaces.
- Excellent command of grammar, tone, and concise storytelling.
- Experience working with design systems and content management tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, CMS platforms).
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in tech, SaaS, or consumer-facing digital products.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive language best practices.
- Knowledge of localization and global content considerations.
