Responsibilities
- Assess drywall damage, including water damage, cracks, holes, and surface imperfections, to determine appropriate repair methods.
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, texturing, and priming prior to painting or finishing.
- Apply paint using various techniques such as airless spray painting, brush, or roller to achieve smooth, even finishes.
- Perform drywall texturing and stucco applications to match existing finishes and textures.
- Install or repair drywall panels, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and door hanging as needed for comprehensive wall restoration.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise execution of repairs.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and industry best practices during every phase of work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall repair, painting, plastering, and related restoration work within a construction or renovation environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Skilled in drywall texturing, caulking, fixture installation, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, and remodeling tasks is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans accurately; experience with blueprint reading is essential.
- Hands-on experience with water damage restoration, mold remediation, plumbing (including construction plumbing), framing carpentry (including metal studs), and masonry is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Valid construction workplace safety certifications preferred; a background in handyman services or general construction is advantageous.
