About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory / Data Entry Clerk with lumber or building materials experience to support our day-to-day operations. This role is primarily responsible for receiving stock materials into our system, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting our Purchasing Manager.
This is a hands-on, in-office role working closely with inventory and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and accurately enter incoming lumber and building materials into our system
- Create and maintain SKUs for new and existing products
- Verify quantities, sizes, grades, and costs against vendor invoices
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records
- Assist the Purchasing Manager with order entry and follow-ups
- Communicate with vendors regarding orders, availability, and discrepancies
- Make occasional calls to vendors to confirm or follow up on orders
- Identify and resolve inventory or data discrepancies
Requirements:
- Previous experience in lumber, building materials, or construction supply (required)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with data entry, inventory systems, or administrative work
- Familiarity with lumber sizes, grades, and terminology
- Comfortable working with product specifications and measurements
- Strong communication skills and willingness to speak with vendors
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with inventory or ERP systems
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
