Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Door and Window Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately installing, repairing, and replacing doors and windows across various residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. Duties:
- Prepare openings by framing or modifying existing structures using carpentry, metal stud framing, or trim carpentry techniques.
- Install doors, windows, fixtures, and related hardware with a focus on precision, safety, and durability.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and secure components during installation.
- Perform glass installation including handling large glass panels safely with appropriate lifting techniques.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency of installed units.
- Engage in heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to OSHA standards.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and fabrication equipment.
- Experience with glass installation techniques ensuring safety and precision.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as required on construction sites.
You would be working directly with the owner of the company. There is some travel throughout Maine required, but the company vehicle is used for this. You would meet in the Bangor area every morning and travel together. Occasional overnight travel, but all costs covered by the company. Work week is Monday - Friday with occasional days off. Hours are 6:30/7am to usually 4/5pm. No weekends. Overtime is available. Family oriented company
