Role DescriptionUpper Echelon is seeking a driven and creative Lead Generation & Marketing Intern to support both LinkedIn outreach and content marketing initiatives. This role is based in NYC with a hybrid working model (mostly remote with occasional in-person hours).
The intern will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to identify leads, conduct outreach, and support marketing efforts that increase brand visibility and engagement. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to growth initiatives and expand a high-trust investor and founder network.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new leads aligned with Upper Echelon’s initiatives
- Conduct market research to uncover partnership and growth opportunities
- Support lead generation through LinkedIn outreach, connection requests, and follow-ups
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to build targeted prospect lists
- Assist in crafting and refining outreach messaging templates
- Maintain organized tracking of leads, outreach activity, and pipeline progress
- Support marketing initiatives including social content planning and publishing
- Help manage a content calendar and ensure consistency in brand voice
- Assist with video editing for short-form content (reels, event clips, promotional videos)
- Support graphic design and visual assets (Canva or similar tools)
- Track engagement metrics and provide performance insights
- Strong skills in identifying new leads and generating lead opportunities
- Proficiency in conducting effective market research and analyzing data
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships
- Interest in sales, business development, partnerships, or marketing
- Proactive mindset with eagerness to learn and contribute
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and outreach messaging is strongly preferred
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, or similar tools is a plus
- Familiarity with private capital, investor relations, startups, or venture ecosystems is a plus
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with senior leadership
- Real-world experience in lead generation, outreach strategy, and content execution
- Exposure to investor relations and private capital networking
