About The Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Procurement Assistant to support product sourcing and purchasing workflows here at DFTBA.
DFTBA is dedicated to creating high-quality products while supporting creators and doing good in the world. The Procurement Assistant plays a key role in keeping our ordering processes accurate, timely, and aligned across systems so our creators and customers get the products they love, on schedule and exactly as expected.
As Procurement Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Procurement Manager to create items in NetSuite, our inventory management software, manage purchase orders, track order status, communicate updates to internal partners, and help ensure our procurement operations run smoothly from start to finish.

As Procurement Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Procurement Manager to create items in NetSuite, our inventory management software, manage purchase orders, track order status, communicate updates to internal partners, and help ensure our procurement operations run smoothly from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Set up new products in NetSuite, ensuring accurate SKUs, vendors, weights, HS codes, and country-of-origin details.
- Create purchase orders and assist with financial reconciliation as needed.
- Place and pay for orders with manufacturers and ensure all assigned orders are placed on time.
- Regularly audit products in project management software to confirm order status and ensure data accuracy across systems.
- Monitor order progress, including manufacturing timelines and deliveries, and communicate changes or delays internally.
- Track and flag any issues in the procurement process, including back-ordered products or vendor delays.
- Support communication with manufacturers regarding in-progress orders.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with the Procurement Manager about order status and outstanding issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of inventory management or data analysis is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with e-commerce tools such as Airtable or ShipHero is a plus, but not required.
- Experience in a purchasing or procurement role is a plus, but not required.
