Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Production Line Worker and become a vital part of creating high-quality products through precise assembly and manufacturing processes. The Assembler is responsible for assembling prepared machined parts (bodies, seats, discs, stems and springs) into completed valve assemblies, according to prescribed drawings and instructions
Duties
- Lift workpieces either manually or using lifting equipment and secure workpieces into appropriate fixtures.
- Inspect parts for conformity to production and quality standards.
- Lap, grind or polish seats and discs to eliminate scratches and refine surface finishes to optimize valve sealing capability.
- Assemble parts according to prescribed practices, procedures and assembly drawings.
- Test valves with either air or water according to testing procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, helping others as required to do the same in their areas.
Qualifications/Skill/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and TPM principles preferred
- OSHA 10- or 40-hour a plus preferred
- Forklift/PIT/LOTO trained and authorized in a previous role preferred
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist to access machinery and components.
- Climb stairs or ladders and work at varying heights as required.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull tools and machine components weighing up to 50 pounds; heavier components are moved using hoists, carts, forklifts, or other mechanical aids.
- Use hands for fine motor tasks requiring dexterity, precision, and coordination.
- Visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses) to read gauges, schematics, control panels, and digital displays.
- Hearing (with or without hearing aids) sufficient to detect equipment noises, alarms, and verbal communication.

Work Environment:
- Work is performed primarily in an industrial CNC and manual machine shop.
- Exposure to moving machinery, rotating parts, cutting tools, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic pressure, metal chips, lubricants, coolants, solvents, and cleaning agents.
- Elevated noise levels require the use of hearing protection.
- Variable temperatures depend on machine operation and seasonal conditions.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required includes safety glasses with side shields, steel toed footwear, gloves, hearing protection, and appropriate protective clothing.
- Position may require overtime, weekend work, or off shift response to support production and emergency maintenance needs.
