What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Specialist Intern position at DFC Company?

Summary of Essential Functions:
- Provide first-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems via phone, email, or in-person.
- Help with the setup, configuration, and deployment of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support the creation, modification, and deactivation of user accounts in the ERP system, email systems, and other platforms.
- Assist with access permissions under supervision.
- Assist in tracking IT assets including hardware and software licenses. Help with organizing and maintaining inventory records.
- Support the installation and updating of approved software applications. Ensure compliance with licensing and security policies.
- Work closely with IT team members to learn best practices and gain hands-on experience. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical skills.
- Provide courteous and professional support to internal users. Communicate effectively to understand user needs and explain technical solutions clearly.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School diploma or equivalency is required.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelors degree in CIS, CS, or IT with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
