CDL Required
CDL Equipment Operator/Laborer Responsibilities:
- Operate specialized company trucks and equipment, including vehicles with air brakes and manual transmissions, in a safe and compliant manner
- Transport materials, equipment, and hazardous materials in accordance with DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
- Perform pavement marking work, including painting long roadway lines and short markings such as intersections, arrows, messages, and parking lots
- Assist with pavement marking project preparation and execution, including layout, reading plans, equipment setup, and installation
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance to ensure safe operation
- Load, unload, lift, carry, and position materials, tools, pavement marking supplies, stencils, safety cones, and traffic control devices
- Implement and maintain traffic control measures to establish safe work zones and monitor traffic flow during operations
- Maintain safe following distances and awareness of surroundings while operating vehicles in active work zones
- Complete all work in compliance with DOT standards, quality guidelines, and company safety policies while meeting production expectations
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as required
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, hours worked, and vehicle inspections
- Participate in safety meetings, required training sessions, and make suggestions to improve safety and operational efficiency
- Follow all DFC safety and environmental policies, promptly correcting or reporting hazards, unsafe conditions, or injuries
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
