Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
We are seeking a Business Finance Analyst to support operations finance. Reporting to the Director, Operations, this role partners with operations and finance teams to analyze, forecast, and report financial results, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Your work will include:
- Prepare monthly financial statements by contract/business unit vs budget and forecast
- Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations
- Support annual budgets, forecasts, and business planning
- Analyze site-level profitability, cost drivers, and KPIs
- Partner with operations leadership to improve financial performance
- Support month-end close including accruals and allocations
- Prepare financial reporting packages for stakeholders
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and GL review
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements
- Support audits and internal controls
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and business case support

Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- 3 years of financial analysis
- Experience in contract or operations-based environments preferred
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- CPA (or working toward) is an asset
- Advanced Excel (modeling, pivot tables, data analysis)
- ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
- Experience with reporting/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to translate financial results into operational insights
