Job Description
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products accurately and efficiently. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and follows all safety policies and procedures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
- Label, tag, and document inventory appropriately
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as assigned
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying
- Use of warehouse machinery and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and move for extended periods
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Experience using handheld scanners
- Reliability and punctuality
