Job Description

Overview: The Production Superintendent provides leadership and direction to the manufacturing facility including overseeing plant production, materials, equipment, and tools to ensure efficiency is maintained and projects remain on schedule.This includes coordination of activities related to the company’s safety, quality, and production including responsibility for financial performance of the facility.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Superintendent leads and direct the manufacturing facility by performing the following duties:

• Supervising, mentoring, and directing Production Supervisors
• Participating in plant safety, health, and environmental programs and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Supporting the systems to report Key Process Indicators (KPI’s), conducting the standard meetings, and driving the identification of abnormalities, discovering root causes and problem solving to present recurrence.
• Supporting production supervisors in manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Supporting the development and deployment of the STOP program.
• Managing production schedules to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining labor performance objectives.
• Ensuring quality procedures are followed and achieving 100% on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Supporting duties such as interviewing, hiring, and training direct reports; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance yearly; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Performing other tasks, duties or special projects as directed.
  
  

Education/Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering, or a comparable degree.

7 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment

ERP/MRP Experience Required
