- Operating a Freightliner Cascadia 72" sleeper tractor with a Conestoga or Flatbed trailer to transport products to Dexter customers in USA or Canada. Averaging approximately 1,956 miles per week, during peak season will be completing two round trips from Albion, IN to multiple destinations in Ontario, Canada—including Brantford, Milton, and Concord—with a backhaul to Albion, IN. During off season could make short hauls to long hauls for consistent pay.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery records
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding deliveries and any road incidents
- Drive responsibly, following DOT regulations and all traffic laws
- Age 21 with a valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card.
- A valid passport is required. Dexter will aid in obtaining a passport if needed.
- Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience (manual transmission included)
- Conestoga or Flatbed experience preferred
- Clean driving record (no DUI in past 3 years); cleared DOT drug screening and background check
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Valid passport is required.
- 1 year experience, including manual.
- Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
- Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
