Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Assembler-Light-Non-Electronic II to join our manufacturing team in Southbridge, Massachusetts, to haft, hone, and seal knives. This role is vital in ensuring the production of top-tier cutlery that upholds our company's standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate a hafting machine.
- Hone and edge polish the knife using a honing and buffing machine.
- Seal and trim knives using a hot iron to trip excess material from the sealed area.
- Follow safety protocols and quality standards during assembly processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly line.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in manufacturing or assembly environments is preferred.
- Must possess manual dexterity and adequate range of motion.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, which is the required language of the position.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to work standing, sitting, walk from station to station, bend, and stoop.
- Prolong periods of standing and/or sitting.
