What are the responsibilities and job description for the HS (9-12) SPED position at Dexter High School?
The Dexter R-XI School District is seeking a highly qualified High School (9-12) special education teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. To be considered for the position, the applicant must possess a valid mild/moderate cross categorical teaching certificate and hold successful experience in working with autistic children and appropriate interventions for adapting and/or modifying the curriculum for diverse needs students to possibly include PECS, ABA, augmentative communication, etc.
1) Maintain proper certification
2) Comply with the laws of the state of Missouri
3) Comply with district policies, regulations, and administrative directives.
Starting teacher pay is $40,000, and salary is based upon years of experience and education. Additional information about the district can be found at www.dexter.k12.mo.us.
