Position Summary:
Coordinate the Indirect Lending process and perform duties as the liaison between credit union and dealerships. Perform the duties of Loan Services Manager as needed. Compile monthly reports and summary data for the indirect lending program. Oversee indirect and loan services support staff to achieve established goals set by management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements in addition to all state and federal laws and regulations, including Regulation CC, the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Educate members on various credit union policies, procedures and related laws and regulations where applicable.
Review and decision loans submitted by indirect lending partners. Verify the applicant’s eligibility for membership and satisfaction of DEXSTA’s underwriting criteria.
Follow credit union procedures and guidelines when determining credit decisions.
Work with dealers to resolve any discrepancies.
Review suspicious documents for authenticity and validation.
Authorize wire transfer funding or other payment to dealers for approved loans.
Recommend program rate change proposals and present any recommendations to management for approval.
Solicit new dealerships to grow program at management direction.
Maintain dealership communication to stay abreast of promotions and suggest mutually beneficial opportunities.
Perform loan disbursements as needed.
Generate decline letters in a timely manner.
Review a sample of loan funding packages, worksheets and booking log for accuracy and compliance with policy and procedures.
Cross-sell credit union products and services when possible.
Assist with Alacriti processing as directed.
Assist loan services team members with coaching, mentoring and as directed otherwise.
Assume the duties of Loan Services Manager in their absence.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Knowledge of the fundamentals of lending and collections.
Knowledge of credit union lending policies and procedures.
Knowledge of credit union products and services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extended sitting up to 90% of the time.
Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally required.
Bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching above and below shoulder level is occasionally required.
Continuous sound perception/discrimination and verbal speech ability required.
Some exposure to dust and/or extreme noise levels may occasionally apply.
Occasional travel, irregular hours may be required.
Must be bondable.
Qualifications:Education, Training and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in supervision, financial services and/or customer service.
3 years’ experience in consumer lending preferred.
Indirect lending experience preferred.
