JOB DESCRIPTION 

Plans, coordinates, and directs quality processes designed to ensure quality control, quality assurance, and improvement of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The Quality Manager is responsible for performing and directing Quality Audits of the QMS system to maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and Dexter requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design reviews, test, and/or integration to assure quality standards of product components and/or systems are achieved.

·        Performs quality engineering reviews and/or design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality specifications and company quality records.

·        Review purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.

·        Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.

·        Leads problem-solving activities to solve critical problems. Drive root cause and corrective actions – Must own and lead the quality process

·        Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.

·        Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. 

·        Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.

·        Collaborates with Engineering and Production to address any internal quality concerns and corrective actions

·        Prioritizes quality improvement activities and utilizes quality improvement training, activities, and policies

·        Manage all documentation and reporting requirements for the quality system

·        Develops performance improvement targets for quality

·        Conducts customer surveys to solicit feedback

·        Performs statistical analysis and data analysis

·        Assists in Warranty claims processing/investigations.

·        Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.

·        Other requirements as needed

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  ·          Requires bachelor’s degree or 5 years or more of comparable discipline 

  ·       Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, or ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and/or IATF     16949 Quality Management Systems.
