Job Description:
Seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineering Senior Advisor with deep expertise in cloud-native application development and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MS SQL Server, AWS cloud services, and a comprehensive understanding of Medicare/Medicaid healthcare data. The role involves full lifecycle cloud application development, operational support, and automation integration within an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle operational triage for bugs, test case failures, and system issues.
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end cloud applications.
- Support all stages of the application lifecycle, including production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve code defects.
- Implement and contribute to automation testing strategies and continuous validation pipelines.
- Advocate for high-quality code, performance optimization, and system reliability.
- Proactively ask insightful questions, experiment with new approaches, and champion innovation.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 10 years of software development experience.
- 10 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server.
- Strong experience in C#.NET development using the .NET Framework.
- Deep experience with AWS services, including but not limited to:
- AWS Step Functions
- AWS Lambda (Node.js)
- SNS, SQS, EventBridge
- API Gateway
- Experience in ETL development using SSIS, Python, or Apache Spark via AWS Glue.
- Proficient in designing and consuming RESTful API services.
- Familiarity with Terraform and setting up CI/CD pipelines (a plus).
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Experience with container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
- Working knowledge of Kafka, scripting languages, and SDLC best practices.
- Passion for automation, performance tuning, and continuous learning.
Preferred:
- Experience working with Medicare/Medicaid healthcare data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to align technical efforts with business objectives.
- Agile/Scrum environment experience.
