Job Title: MEP Superintendent – Data Center Construction

Location: Vineland, NJ

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Conversion Timeline: Potential conversion to a permanent position within 3–6 months.

Work Arrangement: On-site

We are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee field construction activities for a large-scale data center project in Vineland, NJ. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations while coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule. This is a field-focused construction leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, site coordination skills, and the ability to resolve construction issues in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate on-site installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and low-voltage systems.
• Coordinate subcontractors and multiple trades to ensure efficient workflow and prevent installation conflicts.
• Monitor construction progress against project schedules, milestones, and deadlines.
• Ensure all installations comply with approved construction drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
• Maintain site safety standards and ensure contractors follow established safety procedures.
• Identify and resolve field issues, installation conflicts, material delays, and coordination challenges.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors to support successful project execution.
• Track field progress, communicate potential delays, and provide regular construction updates to project leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an MEP Superintendent, Construction Superintendent, MEP Field Manager, or in a similar construction leadership role.
• Experience overseeing MEP installation and coordinating multiple construction trades.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage building systems.
• Experience managing subcontractors, field crews, construction schedules, and installation quality.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and quality control procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot field installation issues and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Ability to work on-site and commute regularly to Vineland, NJ.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with data center or mission-critical facility construction.
• Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination drawings, construction sequencing, and project scheduling.
