What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linux Developer position at Dexian?
Job Location: Addison, TX or Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite & 2 days remote)
The individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Linux-based solutions that support the wider team’s data and infrastructure needs. The role requires strong analytical skills, innovative problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work both independently and as a technical leader. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of deliverables and help mentor others while driving projects to completion.
Required Skills
- 5 years of professional experience in Linux engineering or development roles.
- RHEL 8 expertise, including system configuration, administration, and optimization.
- Shell scripting experience (Bash, Korn, or similar).
- Proficiency in at least two non-shell programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, Go, C/C ).
- Oracle database experience, including strong SQL development skills.
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence for Agile/SDLC processes.
Desired Skills
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch.
- Scala development experience.
- Python programming experience.
- Exposure to or experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, NiFi, Airflow).
