Billing Specialist

Core Responsibilities

• Review and audit a high volume of invoices against contract terms, rate cards, and PO scope.
• Identify billing discrepancies or incorrect charges and resolve with vendors, AP, and Supply Chain.
• Apply consistent billing standards and compliance practices across vendors to support audit readiness.
• Track and escalate compliance issues and support process improvements to reduce risk and improve accuracy.

🧠 Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience in business analysis and/or vendor compliance audit roles.
• Experience processing and reviewing high volumes of invoices and managing billing exceptions.
• Experience reviewing invoices against contract terms and PO scope and resolving discrepancies cross-functionally.
• Working knowledge of contract compliance, vendor rate cards, and billing terms.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft or similar).
• Strong attention to detail in a compliance-focused environment.

• Accounting Specialist-style experience (billing, invoicing, AP/AR, financial operations).
• Experience supporting audit processes, compliance programs, or internal controls.
• Exposure to vendor management, contractor administration, or supplier performance tracking.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
