REMOTE WITH OCCASIONAL TRAVEL (WHICH IS COVERED)

• Execute standard software solutions including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure and high-quality code using Java, Kotlin, or other relevant languages with limited guidance.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot applications considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to improve automation and value realization.
• Troubleshoot technical issues by breaking down complex problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making for secure and stable application development.
• Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and best practices for secure and stable code development.
• Contribute positively to a team culture that values diversity, inclusion, and respect.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies and deliver user stories within sprint deadlines based on story points.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical expertise (senior roles).
• Collaborate with DevOps and backend teams to deploy applications on AWS infrastructure.
• Engage with client stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure delivery quality (senior roles).
• Maintain best practices for security, performance, and compliance within a regulated banking environment.
  
  

• Formal training or certification in Android (and/or iOS) application development concepts with 2 years applied experience.
• Intermediate to Senior experience level preferred (8 years strongly preferred).
• Extensive experience with Android tools including Android Studio, Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and LiveData.
• Proficient in coding, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using modern programming languages and database query languages.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies including CI/CD pipelines, application resiliency, and security best practices.
• Experience with RESTful API integration and network API consumption.
• Knowledge of secure data handling, authentication, and performance optimization on Android platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS deployment and DevOps practices related to mobile application delivery (e.g., CI/CD pipelines on AWS).
• Prior experience in banking or financial services is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
  

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to cross-platform development tools and mobile UI fundamentals, including layouts, animations, and user experience best practices.
  
  

• Primarily remote work with occasional onsite presence expected at client locations in Plano, Texas or New Jersey.
• Candidates located near Dallas (Plano area) or New Jersey preferred to facilitate occasional in-person meetings.
