Wellness Performance Specialist (Testing + Community Outreach)

DexaFit Columbus is seeking a high-energy, people-focused professional to join our team as a Wellness Performance Specialist.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about health and fitness, confident working with people, and excited to be part of a growing, community-driven wellness brand. This role is best suited for someone who is naturally self-motivated and takes initiative without needing constant direction.

This position combines hands-on wellness testing with community outreach, partnerships, and brand growth. You will play a key role in delivering a premium client experience inside the studio, while also representing DexaFit Columbus at events, gyms, and wellness activations throughout the community.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates confidently, and is motivated to contribute to both the client experience and the growth of the business.

ResponsibilitiesClient Experience & Testing

• Perform DXA body composition scans
• Conduct Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) tests
• Perform VO2 max testing
• Clearly explain testing procedures and results to clients in an encouraging and easy-to-understand way
• Deliver a professional, welcoming, and high-energy client experience
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient testing environment

Community Outreach & Partnerships

• Represent DexaFit Columbus at pop-ups, fitness events, health fairs, races, gyms, and corporate wellness events
• Spend scheduled time building relationships with:
• Gyms and trainers
• Coaches and wellness professionals
• Medical offices and local businesses
• Identify and support new partnership opportunities
• Assist with outreach, follow-up, and client growth efforts
• Contribute ideas to increase bookings, referrals, and community presence

Brand & Content Support

• Capture simple photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes content during testing and events
• Support social media through:
• Stories, reels, and event content
• Educational and client-focused content
• Assist with promoting events, specials, and partnerships
• Maintain professionalism and respect client privacy when capturing content

QualificationsPreferred Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, Health Science, or related field (preferred but not required)

Experience (a plus, not required)

• Fitness, coaching, or personal training
• Body composition or metabolic testing
• Sales, customer service, or client-facing roles
• Social media content creation
• Community outreach or event-based work
