DEXA a leading provider of health optimization tools in the wellness space is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer Technician to join our service team. This individual will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced equipment across client sites. The position requires significant travel (up to 5 days per week) and a strong foundation in electrical systems, diagnostics, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Service & Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on medical imaging equipment (DEXA, X-ray, Red Light, Hyperbaric etc.).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues quickly and effectively, minimizing equipment downtime.
- Installations: Support new equipment installations, ensuring systems are set up, configured, and tested to manufacturer and regulatory standards.
- Customer Support: Provide hands-on technical support to healthcare providers, ensuring safe and efficient operation of imaging systems.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed service records, parts usage, and reports in compliance with industry and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with customers and other team members to resolve problems.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the service field with an electrical or electronic background; prior experience in medical imaging service is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting circuits, and diagnostic tools; comfort with mechanical systems and software interfaces.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent military/technical training).
- Travel: Willing and able to travel 5 days per week across assigned territories (valid driver’s license and passport required).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
- OEM training or certification in electrical components.
- Knowledge of safety standards, and radiation safety protocols.
- Experience working in hospitals, diagnostic centers, or with field-based customer support.
