What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time DEXA Health Technician position at DEXA Charleston?
We're a DEXA scan company in Mount Pleasant helping people understand their health through bone density and body composition scans. You'll focus on what you love. one-on-one interaction and making a real difference, without the pressures of building a client base. You'll be at the heart of numerous health journeys, celebrating successes and offering support in a role that's as rewarding as it is dynamic.
We're looking for a Saturday Part-Time Technician. You'd be the person clients see when they walk in, the person who delivers their results, and the person who keeps the operation running smoothly on Saturdays.
What You'd Do
- Perform full-body DEXA scans and walk clients through their results
- Open and close the studio on Saturdays
- Own the day-to-day operation: supplies, equipment upkeep, client experience
- Support the full-time technician

What We're Looking For
- Comfortable explaining results to clients without a medical or fitness jargon
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to work independently.
- Warm and professional with clients. This isn't a clinical environment, it's a 20-minute appointment where people learn something meaningful about their health
- Organized enough to manage supplies, scheduling, and communication without being micromanaged
Nice to have but not required:
- Experience operating a DEXA scanner (we will pay for training and certification)
- Background in exercise science, kinesiology, nutrition, or a related field
- Experience in a client-facing health or wellness role (personal training, health coaching, physical therapy)
