We are seeking a reliable and organized Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring that materials flow seamlessly from receiving to production. You will be responsible for the physical movement of goods, maintaining impeccable inventory accuracy, and upholding the highest safety standards in our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and storage areas.
- Transport raw materials and components to kitting and production lines to ensure zero downtime.
- Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks).
- Maintain precise inventory records and perform regular cycle counts and audits.
- Ensure all items are organized and stored in their designated locations to optimize space and retrieval time.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in stock levels or damaged goods.
- Accurately document all material receipts and distributions using our internal systems.
- Process shipping and receiving paperwork with high attention to detail.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace to ensure the safety of the entire team.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: The job often requires lifting and moving heavy objects and you must be able to remain on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in tracking inventory numbers and verifying part descriptions.
- Organizational Skills: A knack for keeping workspaces tidy and processes streamlined.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory software usage.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
