We are seeking a dedicated Route Driver and Bottle Washer to join our team. The Route Driver will be responsible for transporting water and salt to various locations in the Natrona County area efficiently and safely. Additional duties will include bottle washing and maintenance around the shop. This job is for our primary delivery truck. This position is in charge of maintaining their route and various functions around the shop.
Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles to deliver products to customers on assigned routes
- Handle customers in a professional manner and maintaining relationships between cutomer and company (which inclucdes daily reporting and troubelshooting)
- Load and unload goods by hand and by using equipment such as forklifts and dollies.
- Consistently lifting upwards of 50 pounds repetitively in and out of trucks.
- Ensure accurate and timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Operate different types of vehicles - no licenses required for driving and we can teach you how to operate a forklift safely.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as refueling, cleaning, and weekly inspections.
- Preform the bottle wash as needed. We train.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, ability to drive heavy vehicles in all weather conditions.
- Must pass a background check.
- Experience as a Route Driver or similar role is beneficial, but we will fully train the right person.
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles including vans, box trucks and forklift (we will train if needed.)
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures including OSHA safety regulations and ability to adhere to our in-shop rules.
- Time management skills and the ability to complete daily deliveries as scheduled.
- Strong communication and customer service skills. This is something we especially like as all who work for DeWitt Water are offered commission for additional upsales and sales.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds numerous times a day and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading/delivery.
- Learning Mindset. There are many different operations happening under one roof and there is always something new to learn. We love people with an open mind and willingness to learn more about our industry.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Good knowledge of Casper area and how to navigate.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Mechanical experience, or hands on repair efficiency.
