What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custom Sewing Assistant/Sewing Trainee position at DeWitt Company Inc.?
Entry level position responsible for assisting with the sewing of custom and stock shade pieces according to shop floor specifications. Candidates will be responsible for pulling material, unrolling panels, measuring and moving materials as needed. Must be able to read the shop floor orders, use a measuring tape and scissors. Job requires extensive bending, pulling, kneeling and standing. No prior experience necessary, training will be provided. Successful candidates chosen for this position will be required to train and advance into a sewing position. Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with occasional overtime required.
