About The Opportunity

Our client, a leader in Enterprise Software/SaaS, is looking for a skilled Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager (Tech & SaaS) to join their team for a 6 months engagement. This project involves leading complex Technology and SaaS category strategy, shaping long-term vendor strategy, and modernizing sourcing through data, automation, and AI-enabled insights. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:

• Category Strategy: Lead Technology sourcing strategies and negotiate complex SaaS agreements.
• Strategic Partnership: Work directly with senior leaders to shape SaaS strategy and support build vs. buy decisions.
• Sourcing Execution: Roll up your sleeves to execute day-to-day sourcing activities, including intake management, supplier outreach, and basic negotiations.
• Supplier Evaluation: Prepare and lead RFIs, RFPs, and structured supplier evaluations.
• Financial Analysis: Drive total cost of ownership analysis, financial modeling, and renewal forecasting.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the modernization of sourcing processes and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and stakeholder experience.
• Reporting: Provide strategic reporting and forward-looking analysis on current and future spend, and support partners and FP&A to meet budget and forecasting goals.
• Optimization: Use spend analytics and AI-enabled insights to identify cost optimization and consolidation opportunities.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience: 5 years in a strategic sourcing role for indirect categories of spend, particularly in Technology and SaaS sourcing.
• Methodology: Experience managing global procurement responsibilities using a structured strategic sourcing methodology (opportunity analysis, supplier selection, risk evaluation, contract negotiation, financial analysis).
• SaaS Expertise: Strong commercial acumen and ability to dive deep into contract structures and pricing models.
• Impact: Proven track record delivering price optimization, cost savings, and measurable value.
• Stakeholder Management: Experience partnering with suppliers, internal business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Data-Driven Mindset: Experience using spend analytics to inform sourcing decisions.
• Execution: Proven ability to manage high request volume while maintaining strong attention to detail and responsiveness.
• Systems: Experience with Procure-to-Pay systems such as Zip.
• Soft Skills: Process-oriented and customer service–inspired approach.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
