Senior Business Systems Analyst

Boston, MA - Hybrid Role - We are targeting local candidates that can be in the Boston office 3 days per week.
12 Month contract (or contract to hire, if desired)
Targeting candidates with prior asset management services experience who can work on-site in Boston, MA 3 days per week
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong background in financial services to support the modernization of a legacy client reporting system. This is a critical role on a small, high-impact team supporting investment management operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business and technical teams to analyze requirements for the implementation of Coric.
- Define and configure data blocks within Coric, specifically around holdings, accounts, securities, and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document functional and data requirements for investment client reporting.
- Assist in the design and build of an API layer to integrate data from portfolio accounting systems, performance systems, and trading platforms.
- Contribute to the creation of a centralized data mart to support reporting needs.
- Support testing, validation, and documentation for all system changes and configurations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role within the financial services industry, preferably investment management.
- Solid understanding of client reporting, portfolio accounting, performance measurement, or trading systems.
- Ability to work with limited direction to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
- Familiarity with investment data concepts such as holdings, securities, benchmarks, and account structures.
- Experience with reporting tools like Coric is a plus but not required—industry knowledge is most critical.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting system migrations or upgrades within investment operations.
- Prior involvement in projects building data integrations, API layers, or data marts
