This Grants Accountant role is a technical, execution-focused position designed for a high-output "doer" tasked with clearing a significant backlog of grant-related financial work. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and at least three years of specialized experience in New York City grant funding. Crucial is proficiency in the PASSPort. The daily responsibilities center on the full lifecycle of grant accounting, including posting grants to the general ledger and performing rigorous reconciliations to ensure audit readiness. While the role is hands-on rather than strategic, preferred candidates will have experience with Financial Edge NXT to navigate the organization’s specific financial ecosystem and streamline the reporting process.

- New York City grant funding accounting experience
- 3 years grants analysis experience
- Strong experience working with team members and funders to analyze and maximize spend
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
