We’re seeking a mid-level engineer with a strong front-end focus to help build intuitive, high-performance user experiences across a suite of digital products.
In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to translate complex requirements into clean, responsive interfaces that feel effortless for end users.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in product-driven environments and enjoys owning features end-to-end — with an emphasis on React and TypeScript development.
What You’ll Do
- Build, enhance, and maintain front-end features using React, TypeScript, and modern UI development patterns
- Collaborate directly with product managers and UX designers to refine requirements and improve usability
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems
- Contribute to full-stack development using Node.js / TypeScript, and support backend/API improvements
- Participate in architecture discussions, sprint ceremonies, and code reviews
- Optimize performance, accessibility, and reliability in responsive web applications
- Maintain code quality through testing, documentation, and adherence to engineering best practices
- Contribute to UI consistency through shared component libraries and design systems
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on expertise with React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6 ), HTML5, CSS/SCSS
- Experience with Node.js or another backend language (Python/Java acceptable for API layer)
- Solid understanding of API integration, async patterns, and state management (React Query, Redux, Zustand, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively in product-heavy, collaborative environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated testing, and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Strong communication skills — especially when partnering with product and design
- Must be Boston-local or able to work onsite multiple days per week
Nice to Have
- Experience with crypto, digital asset workflows, or blockchain-adjacent platforms
- Hands-on work with design systems or UI component libraries (Material UI, internal libraries, etc.)
- Background in financial services or other regulated industries
- Exposure to A/B testing, feature flagging, or user feedback loops
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and secure coding practices
