Responsibilities
This position will support clients focused on a range of policy issues on behalf of clients in the private sector, with an emphasis on technology and telecommunications. The Associate will work in a team environment to craft and implement creative strategies to support our clients’ priorities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage projects that involve significant planning, material development, and coordination on execution with internal clients and external contacts
- Serve as point of contact for client requests
- Create policy-focused content such as letters, blogs, one-pagers, statements, and social media posts
- Strong interest in growing or developing a deep understanding on a range of technology and telecommunications policy, corporate responsibility, and related issues
- Assist cross-functional policy and research teams with other tasks and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Education: An undergraduate degree is required
- Work Experience: 1 – 3 years of experience (can include internships) working in government affairs, management consulting, public policy, public relations, political campaigns, or a related role.
- Strong organization and time management skills, acute attention to detail, and knowledge of MS Office are essential
- Demonstrated ability to communicate concisely, research complex policy issues, and connect current events and policy issues to clients’ priorities
- Skilled in writing clearly on complex topics for a variety of audiences; experience managing and editing writing projects, including digital communications, is a plus
- Ability to operate independently on-sight with clients, with minimal oversight
- Eager to anticipate client needs while exercising discretion and excellent judgement
- Resourceful, results oriented, team-player with a positive “can do” attitude
