What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Sales Associate position at DeWeese Hardware?
We are looking for someone experienced in the hardware or building industry to add to our sales floor. DeWeese Hardware has been a part of the Traverse City community for over 60 years! We offer a large range of hardware, plumbing, electrical, and painting supplies. If you are a “go getter” with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn please apply! Daily job duties will include:
Helping our many loyal customers solve their problems
Helping to keep the store clean
Helping closing supervisor with post close activities
Putting freight away and stocking throughout the day
Operating phone systems and POS systems
Mixing Paint and making keys
Must be able to load 40-60 pound bags of concrete/salt on a daily basis
Applicant will be expected to work Saturdays, we have a rotating schedule for Saturdays. During the week, the last shift ends at 6:30 pm. Shifts are typically no more than 8 hours. Please note this opening is for a salesperson for the floor, experience in the hardware or building industry is ideal.
