Dewberry’s Raleigh, North Carolina office is currently seeking a Structural Engineer . In this role, you would have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, including water and wastewater treatment, plant structures, industrial, school facilities, healthcare, higher education facilities, office buildings, commercial buildings, structural evaluations, and civil/site structures.

Dewberry’s Raleigh, NC office includes over 200 design professionals, including a large Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural (MEPS) Group focused on design services for clients in North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. Our experience includes all major healthcare systems, higher education, K-12 schools, central plants/infrastructure, and more . Raleigh’s MEPS group contains subject matter experts in leadership roles in all major professional organizations, such as ASHE, ASHRAE, etc. Our repeat clients include most of the largest hospital systems, universities, and state, local, and federal government agencies. Our MEPS service line is ranked #30 nationally among MEP Giants, and our local Raleigh office is ranked #3 by size in engineering firms in the Triangle.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and mentor structural engineering design staff on projects.
• Work with the design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Develop and maintain high-value client relationships.
• Meet client deadlines and project budgets.
  
  

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5 years of structural engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, or ability to obtain them through reciprocity within one year of start date.
• Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
• A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule and budget.
• Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines and clients.
• Experience using structural software such as RAM, RAM Elements, STAAD, Enercalc, TEDDS, or Tekla is preferred.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
