Responsibilities
- Develop roadway geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadways and highways based on applicable design criteria and specifications
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents
- Work with and learn from experienced Roadway Engineers and Project Managers
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers in other transportation disciplines including Structures, Drainage, and Traffic
- Provide engineering support for projects in construction
- Assist with the development of marketing and project pursuit materials
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 2 years of relevant experience working on FDOT or similar public agency projects
- EI or EIT license or the commitment to obtain within one year
- Knowledge of FDOT roadway design criteria and roadway plans production processes
- Proficiency with Bentley Open Roads Designer
- Ability to manage multiple projects and complete work in a timely fashion to meet project schedules
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
