Dewberry is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join our Civil department in our Baltimore, MD office to work on a variety of projects for clients within the commercial and energy sector. During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.

- Local candidates preferred, no housing stipend will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Site/civil engineering including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, utility (water, sewer, gas, electirical, storm drain etc.) design, traffic control and erosion and sediment control design.
- Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
- Field work including site visits for survey and natural resource reconnaissance, construction observation, photo documentation, parking counts, etc.
- Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
- May also conduct code research, write specifications, and assist in permitting activities.
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering required with an expected graduation between May 2027 - December 2027
- Previous internship experience preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft office is required.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
